Herefordshire Council are seeking a highly motivated and organised Senior Paralegal (Litigation). You will be joining a small team of lawyers dealing with a variety of matters, primarily civil litigation, regulatory prosecutions and employment law. This role will suit a highly motivated and organised person seeking a challenge. Excellent client care skills and an eagerness to provide an excellent high-quality service to our clients is a must. What will you be doing?
- Support lawyers by conducting substantive legal work including:
- Legal research
- Drafting legal documents
- Preparing bundles
- Interviewing witnesses
- Drafting witness statements
You will work on a wide range of issues, varying in complexity, working closely with the Council’s departments to proactively co‑ordinate, problem solve and manage a large number of instructions.
About You
- Have experience of working within a law firm or in‑house legal team.
- Experience of litigation is desirable.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
- Have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- You will have a keen eye for detail.
