About The Role

We're looking for a friendly and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our welcoming team.

You'll play an important part in helping us provide nutritious, well-presented meals for our residents while maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in the kitchen in compliance with food hygiene standards.
  • Help to prepare and serve three healthy and nutritious meals daily, catering to the individual dietary needs of our residents.
  • Assist with food preparation and meal service.
  • Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Follow food safety and health and safety procedures.
  • Help monitor stock levels and report shortages.
  • Support the cook with day-to-day kitchen duties.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • A positive and hardworking attitude.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Understanding of food hygiene principles (training can be provided).
  • Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene certification (training can be provided).
  • A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work alternate weekends.
