About the Role:

Transition from operational import/export work into international trade consultancy. Work with diverse UK manufacturing and trading clients on customs compliance, import/export procedures, market development, and logistics strategy. This role combines client advisory work with research, documentation, and back-office support. You’ll be part of a small technical team where everyone contributes to operations and client delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support trade compliance reviews for UK manufacturers and exporters
  • Advise on import/export procedures and customs regulations
  • Conduct research on tariff codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Prepare client reports and documentation
  • Build client relationships under supervision
  • Occasional UK travel with colleagues to client sites

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as import/export coordinator OR customs/freight operations
  • Working knowledge of UK customs procedures and systems
  • Understanding of trade documentation, Incoterms, or logistics
  • Strong written communication and analytical skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Currently working in the UK with right to work - no sponsorship available
