Adults Safeguarding Senior Social Worker

Pay rate up to Β£41.58 Umbrella
We are looking for a temporary agency social worker for a 1 x full time position within our Adults Safeguarding team to join Swansea City Council Adults Services dept. Rate of pay is Β£33 (PAYE), Umbrella rate (Β£41.58). This role involves working in a small team supporting with a backlog.
This is a temporary position for 3 months initially.

This is full time position of 37 hours.
The Adult Safeguarding Team is a busy dynamic Team. The team deal with Adult at Risk Reports, undertaking Section 126 enquiries in line with the All-Wales Safeguarding Procedures. The Team also provides advice and guidance on safeguarding issues, attends Multi-agency Safeguarding Meetings e.g. MAPPA and MARAC, undertakes suicide prevention work and is a keen advocate developing preventative ways of keeping citizens in Swansea safe from harm. Using a person-centred collaborative approach, the Adult Safeguarding Team can provide consistent advice and guidance to Colleagues, the Citizens of Swansea and Partner Agencies, in line with the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
You would be part of a small, well-supported, friendly team, with fantastic working relationships and an excellent reputation with Partner Agencies. The Adult Safeguarding Team enjoy weekly catchup meetings, ensuring your well-being is always top of the agenda. The Adult Safeguarding Team have regular peer group sessions to discuss cases and debate rationales, to ensure a streamlined approach to the safeguarding work that is undertaken. This also provides opportunities for learning and reflective practice.
The role is exciting and varied. We require a compassionate and knowledgeable qualified Social Worker with 3 years or more experience, with excellent communication engagement abilities. You will require a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and best practice. A commitment to promoting dignity, safety and respect for vulnerable adults is essential. You are required to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a complex safeguarding caseload.

- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
