A Senior Social Worker is required on a full time basis to join Cardiff Social Services Adults with Learning Disabilities team. You will be based on site for the first month for training purposes and 2-3 days per week thereafter. The office is based at Market Road, Canton, Cardiff.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a caseload within your chosen service area
  • Completing strengths-based assessments, care planning and reviews
  • Supporting individuals to make informed decisions and improve independence
  • Working with high-risk and complex cases, including safeguarding
  • Collaborating with multi‑agency partners and contributing to decision-making forums
  • Supporting junior staff, students and contributing to team development

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Care Wales registration
  • Experience within Adults with Learning Disabilities
  • Confident managing complex cases and making informed decisions
  • Strong assessment, safeguarding and care planning experience
