A Qualified Social Worker is required on a part time basis, for 3 days a week to jion Cardiff Social Services, Kinship assessment team. This role offers hybrid working and offers a pay rate in line with the All Wales Pledge of up to £38.43 per hour Umbrella company.

In this role you will be required to complete Connected Person Assessments and Special Guardianship assessments including conversion assessments for those carers pursuing a Special Guardianship arrangement. You will be responsible for assessing potential kinship arrangements and those currently approved foster carers. You would have to be able explain the benefits and differences of becoming a Kinship foster carer or Special Guardian for the child(ren) in their care

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
