Cardiff Council are looking for a Registered Social Worker to join their Kinship Team for an initial 3 month contract. This post offers hybrid working and an immediate start. Pay rate to be confirmed in line with the All Wales Pledge. Max £30.50 PAYE with holiday pay on top, umbrella equivalent £38.43.
In line with robust SGO assessment, we are looking to recruit a small number of experienced social workers to support identification and assessment of Kinship foster carers, through the process of converting to Special Guardianship roles. Face to face visits are required; therefore, reasonable proximity to Cardiff is required, and we are utilising a hybrid approach to office and home working time. Cardiff cannot confirm how often visits will be required; however, they are planned so this could work great for someone who needs to plan around childcare etc. There is no duty element to this role.
Relevant applicants should be able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and experience of or transferable skills relevant for these roles. Successful applicants will be responsible for the process from initial contact to presentation at panel. There is no role of supervising social worker within these roles.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold:
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
