An exciting opportunity has become available in the fostering service in Caerphilly. The authority is looking for a social worker to join them for full-time hours for an initial 3-month contract to undertake assessments. Pay rate for this role is in line with the All Wales Pledge.
If you are looking for a new challenge in fostering, then the service is a busy, supportive and experienced service offering a range of support and assessment services. They are keen to develop further to ensure they provide a skilled and quality service to children looked after and foster carers.
As an assessment social worker, you will undertake viability as well as Connected Persons Assessments. We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic social worker who has knowledge and understanding of the needs and experiences of children looked after and a working knowledge of fostering regulations and childcare legislation.
You will need to have knowledge of the updated form f assessment and process as per latest regulations and be familiar with the National Foster Wales Framework.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold:
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
