Our Family Intervention team works closely with First Contact and Targeted Support to step up or step down cases when the need arises. You will join an established team that operate across our Children’s Services remit and will take responsibility for ensuring policies and processes are formulated and adhered to. You will also be responsible for the quality assurance of Child Protection reports, parenting assessments and Court reports.
You must be a strong practitioner and have the ability to deliver a range of high quality, cost effective outcome focussed social care to children in need. You will supervise a well-established team and offer professional advice, guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to deal with complex and changing demands of the service. The role requires direct supervision and assistance for social workers in completing relevant reports and supporting them in this arena. The role requires evidence of effective knowledge of current practices and the expectations of social services in the matter of applied legal and practical skills.
Working with a wide variety of agencies and professionals, the role requires commitment, flexibility and a thorough understanding of all relevant standards and the Social Services and Well Being Act (2014) Wales. The role demands the ability to build effective relationships with social services teams and forge strong collaborative partnerships with other agencies. In addition, the successful candidate will evidence a passion and determination to meet the demands of this role.
