A Qualified Social Worker is required to join Merthyr's CLA team based on site 4 out of 5 days a week. This contract will initially run for 3-6 months and is for 5 days a week and will cover a soon to be vacant post. Pay rate for this position is up to GBP38.43 per hour Umbrella company in line with ADSS pledge rates.
To apply for this role:
- Must have recent Local Authority working experience in a Looked After Children / Children in Care team.
- Must have extensive experience in Children's Social Work and demonstrate periods of long post holding.
- Must be able to commit to full time hours.
- Available to start a new role ASAP.
- Must be fully capable to hit the ground running; we are not able to provide training to people interested in moving into the LAC environment, they must already possess experience in this area.

- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker.
- A relevant Social Work Qualification.
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England.
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS.
- 3 Years of referencing.
- Driving license with access to a car.
