Job Summary / objective: Hoop Nursing & Healthcare is part of Hoop Recruitment, an award-winning, employee-owned (EOT) recruitment agency connecting compassionate and skilled professionals with opportunities that truly make a difference and give a sense of fulfilment to all parties. We are looking for an entry level graduate who wants to start their career in recruitment with a dynamic and supportive team in the heart of Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual eager to build a long-term career in a growing, fast-paced sales environment. As a recruitment partner, you’ll support our Nursing & Healthcare division by sourcing, engaging, and onboarding nurses, support workers, and healthcare assistants for work with clients across a range of health and social care services. You will support the division with making calls to new and existing clients, building professional working relationships to nurture business development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Recruitment
- Candidate Generation: Proactively identify and engage Nursing & Healthcare candidates through outreach, database searches, and job boards to maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Candidate Registration & Screening: Register and interview prospective candidates, assessing their skills, experience, and career goals to ensure suitability for healthcare roles.
- Candidate Engagement: Maintain regular contact with active candidates on the database, keeping them informed of suitable opportunities and confirming availability for shifts and placements.
- Job Advertising: Write and publish engaging job adverts across job boards, the Hoop website, and social media platforms to attract qualified healthcare professionals.
- Candidate Sourcing: Utilise sourcing techniques including LinkedIn, job boards, and Boolean searches to identify and engage both active and passive candidates.
- Candidate Matching: Review CVs and job specifications to effectively match candidates to client requirements, ensuring the right skills and experience align with role expectations.
- Interview Coordination: Arrange and manage candidate interviews, ensuring clear communication and smooth scheduling between candidates and clients.
- Application Management: Review applications for assigned roles, shortlist suitable candidates, and communicate promptly with applicants throughout the recruitment process.
- Client Engagement: Proactively contact potential and existing clients to build strong relationships and identify recruitment opportunities within the Nursing & Healthcare sector.
- Client Acquisition: Promote recruitment services to prospective clients, arranging and attending meetings or visits to secure new business and placement opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, ensuring a strong understanding of their staffing needs and service expectations.
- Sector Knowledge: Build knowledge of the Nursing & Healthcare market to support consultative conversations with clients and candidates.
- Social Media Engagement: Use LinkedIn and other platforms to share relevant content, increase visibility, and engage with healthcare professionals and potential clients.
- Negotiation Support: Assist in negotiating charge rates and terms with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes while supporting business objectives.
- Professional Client Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with hiring managers, ensuring excellent service and client satisfaction.
- Compliance Management: Support candidate onboarding by collecting and uploading right-to-work documentation and required compliance checks in line with legislation and industry regulations.
- Candidate Readiness: Ensure candidates are fully compliant and prepared for work by completing required documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Reference Checking: Conduct and record candidate references to verify employment history and suitability for healthcare roles.
- Database Management: Use the Vincere ATS to accurately record candidate, client, and placement information, ensuring data is up to date and searchable.
- Process Coordination: Support the recruitment process through accurate administration, documentation management, and adherence to internal procedures.
- Target Contribution: Work towards individual and team targets, including placements, candidate registrations, and compliance completion.
- High-Quality Service Delivery: Provide professional, responsive support to candidates and clients through phone, email, and digital communication channels.
- Relationship Building: Build strong working relationships with candidates and clients, maintaining regular contact to understand their needs and preferences.
- Candidate Communication: Provide clear and timely updates to candidates regarding interview arrangements, onboarding requirements, and shift availability.
- Expectation Management: Manage enquiries effectively, responding promptly and ensuring a positive experience for candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process.

- Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
