Hoop Professional Services & HR are delighted to be partnering with a highly respected national organisation to recruit a temporary People Adviser to join their People & Organisational Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-led organisation with a strong reputation as an employer of choice. The organisation is currently undertaking significant organisational change and transformation programmes, creating a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to gain exposure to large-scale consultation activity, organisational development initiatives and complex employee relations work.
You will be joining a collaborative and supportive People team that plays a central role in delivering strategic people initiatives whilst continuing to provide an excellent service to managers and employees across the organisation. This is a particularly attractive opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to further develop their experience within organisational change, consultation and generalist HR.
The Role
Working closely with the People Business Partnering team, you will provide a comprehensive and solutions-focused HR service across a broad range of people matters. A key focus of the role will be supporting organisational change activity and consultation processes as the organisation delivers a number of important transformation projects over the coming months.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Managing a varied employee relations caseload including absence management, performance, flexible working and employee relations matters
- Supporting organisational change and consultation processes
- Drafting letters, documentation and employee communications
- Supporting managers through HR policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Producing workforce data and reports
- Supporting People Business Partners with projects and organisational initiatives
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Contributing to organisational development and people-focused initiatives
About You
We are keen to speak with HR professionals who have experience operating within a generalist HR environment and are comfortable managing a varied workload. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an HR Adviser, People Adviser or equivalent generalist HR role
- Experience providing advice across the employee lifecycle
- Strong employee relations experience
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting organisational change, restructures or consultation activity would be highly advantageous
- Experience of iTrent would be beneficial but is not essential
