We re recruiting for an Employability Officer to join a well-established, employee-owned training and employability organisation supporting people across South Wales.

This is a really rewarding role where you ll work closely with local employers to uncover job opportunities and quality work placements, matching individuals with opportunities that can genuinely help shape their future.

The role You ll be out in the local business community, developing relationships with employers across Blackwood, Cwmbran and Newport and creating opportunities for young people and unemployed adults.

Your role will include: Building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers Proactively sourcing sustainable job opportunities and work placements Identifying and approaching new businesses to develop employer partnerships Matching participants to suitable vacancies and placements Supporting participants to overcome barriers and sustain employment Completing workplace health and safety assessments and risk assessments Gathering job start evidence in line with contract requirements Developing a strong un...
