Children Locality – Social Worker Pay rate in line with the All Wales Pledge – £38.43 Umbrella Neath Port Talbot Council As part of the Port Talbot Community Children\’s Teams, you will manage a varied caseload across the whole spectrum of frontline Social Work with children and families. You will work with children who are the subject of care and support plans, child protection plans, private law Court proceedings, pre-public law Court proceedings and public law Court proceedings. You will work with Looked After Children and those who are living in prospective adoptive placements. Neath Port Talbot’s Children and Young People’s Service strives to deliver best practice in line with its outcomes focussed model of practice. We endeavour to support families and effectively manage risk to keep families together where it is safe to do so via the utilisation of bespoke, creative and outcome focused plans. The Local Authority has in-house support services which support these plans in a multitude of ways from undertaking direct work to community based supervision plans. There is an in-house therapeutic support team and family time supervision team. These in-house services are complemented by a whole host of commissioned services.
