This isn't your average surveying role. You'll take the lead on complex, high-value investment projects that improve thousands of homes, enhance building safety, and create better places for people to live. From major refurbishments and fire safety programmes to sustainability improvements and planned investment works, your expertise will directly impact communities for years to come.

If you thrive on variety, enjoy managing projects from concept through to completion, and want to be part of an organisation investing heavily in its housing stock, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

You'll be trusted to manage major capital projects from day one, taking ownership of every stage of delivery. Your projects could include:

  • Major refurbishment programmes
  • Fire safety improvements
  • High-rise building works
  • Planned investment and component replacement
  • Energy efficiency and sustainability projects
  • Electrical, heating and compliance upgrades

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing projects from survey and design through to handover.
  • Preparing specifications, tender documentation and scopes of work.
  • Administering JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Monitoring contractors, budgets, programmes and quality.
  • Carrying out site inspections and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Working closely with residents, consultants and contractors to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Championing health & safety and best practice throughout every project.

What we're looking for

We're searching for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and seeing projects through from start to finish. You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience managing complex construction or major works projects.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
  • Excellent understanding of construction methods, defects, repairs and building regulations.
  • Experience preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
  • Confidence managing contractors, consultants and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, valuations and project costs.
  • HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline (or significant relevant experience).

Why join?

This is an opportunity to become part of a team delivering projects that genuinely improve lives. You'll work on diverse, technically interesting schemes while enjoying the autonomy to manage your own projects and the support of an experienced, collaborative team. Whether it's improving building safety, delivering sustainable housing solutions or modernising existing homes, every project you complete will have a lasting impact on the communities you serve.

What's in it for you?

  • Diverse, high-profile major projects
  • Long-term contract
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Supportive and collaborative culture
  • The opportunity to work on projects that make a real social impact
