We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Payroll and Pensions Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee payroll operations, manage a small team, and contribute to the efficient delivery of payroll services across multiple schedules and pension schemes. Key Responsibilities: Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payments. Collaborate with an outsourced provider for payroll processing and maintain in-house systems. Lead and develop a small team, promoting efficiency and high standards. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including HMRC and pension regulations. Provide accurate data to support financial reporting and reconciliations. Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.What We’re Looking For: Proven experience managing complex payroll operations with variable pay elements. Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and formula use. Experience leading and developing teams. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends to meet tight deadlines. Desirable: Experience with defined benefit pension schemes or iTrent payroll systems.This is a hybrid role offering a mix of office and remote working, with occasional flexibility required to meet payroll deadlines.
