The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Location: Secondary Schools across Wrexham

Daily Rate: From £172.98+ per day

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract Types: Day-to-Day, Medium-Term & Long-Term Opportunities (Term-Time Only)

As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in engaging and inspiring pupils across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5), delivering high-quality Science lessons that spark curiosity and promote scientific thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned Science lessons using pre-set plans where provided
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Encouraging curiosity, investigation, and critical thinking within Science subjects
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies
  • Providing constructive feedback and supporting pupil progress
  • Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning

Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science)
  • Confident classroom management and excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability across different school environments
