Location: Secondary Schools across Wrexham
Daily Rate: From £172.98+ per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Types: Day-to-Day, Medium-Term & Long-Term Opportunities (Term-Time Only)
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in engaging and inspiring pupils across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5), delivering high-quality Science lessons that spark curiosity and promote scientific thinking.
Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned Science lessons using pre-set plans where provided
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Encouraging curiosity, investigation, and critical thinking within Science subjects
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies
- Providing constructive feedback and supporting pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register
- Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science)
- Confident classroom management and excellent communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability across different school environments
