Hoop Social Work are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and innovative Team Manager to lead a Family Support Team within Children's Services in Wrexham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families and supporting a high-performing social work team.

Family Support Team (FST) responsibilities:

  • Care and Support Plans
  • Robust family support to improve outcomes for children
  • Management of Child Protection Plans
  • Public Law Outline (PLO) processes
  • Progression of cases through to first court hearing

Team Managed:

  • 15 Social Workers
  • 3 Social Care Assessors
  • 3 Assistant Team Managers

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a large operational team
  • Ensuring high-quality safeguarding practice and decision-making
  • Driving performance, innovation, and service improvement
  • Supporting staff development and reflective practice
  • Ensuring effective management of complex safeguarding and court work
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies
