Overview
Children's Social Worker β Child Protection, Children in Need & Permanence | North Somerset Council β Weston-super-Mare
Contract: 37 hours per week, initial 3-month contract. Agency position taken through Hoop Social Work.
Responsibilities
- Manage Child Protection and Children in Need cases.
- Support children subject to care proceedings and short-term Children in Care plans.
- Contribute to Adoption and Permanence planning to ensure stable, long-term outcomes for children.
- Complete statutory visits, assessments, reports and court work where required.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months' UK experience working as a registered Social Worker.
- Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, Dip SW, CQSW or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Ability to provide 3 years of employment references.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
