Hoop Social Care are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Children’s Residential Service Provider for a dedicated and resilient Care Assistant to join their team in Swansea on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive residential setting, helping children and young people with various needs, to achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.
About the Role
As a member of the Care team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care within a children’s residential home. You’ll be supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs, providing stability, encouragement, and guidance in their daily lives. This is a hands-on, rewarding role suited to someone who is compassionate, patient, and committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred care and support to children and young people
- Promoting a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
- Supporting with daily routines, activities, and appointments
- Building positive relationships and acting as a strong role model
- Encouraging independence, emotional resilience, and life skills
- Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children and young people (residential or similar setting desirable)
- A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Social Care Wales (SCW) registration
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
