Social Worker – Kinship Team

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £38.43 per hour (All Wales Pledge, Umbrella company)

A Qualified Social Worker is required on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week for Cardiff Social Services, Kinship assessment team. This role offers hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities include completing Connected Person Assessments and Special Guardianship assessments, including conversion assessments for carers pursuing a Special Guardianship. You will assess potential kinship arrangements and current foster carers, explaining the benefits and differences of becoming a Kinship foster carer or a Special Guardian.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 6 months UK experience as a registered social worker
2. Relevant Social Work Qualification
3. Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
4. Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or willingness to apply
5. 3 years of referencing
6. Driving license with access to a car
