About the role
You will support the Team Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the Children in Care Team, ensuring high quality practice and positive outcomes for children and young people in care.
Key responsibilities
- Support the management and oversight of the Children in Care Team
- Provide supervision, guidance and support to social workers
- Oversee complex casework and care planning
- Ensure high quality practice in relation to children in care
- Contribute to service development and performance management
- Support decision making in line with statutory responsibilities
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
- Significant experience within Children’s Services (Children in Care desirable)
- Experience of supervision and supporting staff
- Strong knowledge of care planning and statutory processes
- Ability to manage complex and sensitive casework
Additional Information
The role is based in Keynsham with an expectation of at least 2 days per week office presence.
