Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking a Senior Practitioner for the Children and Families Team. The role will enhance social work skills, develop and maintain standards of practice, and deputise for the Team Manager on specified occasions.
Responsibilities include:
- Direct supervision of Social Workers, Students, Volunteers, and Support Workers;
- Assisting the Team Manager with high‑quality service delivery;
- Ensuring that the team provides an appropriate service within current legislation, regulations, guidance, and the Directorates policies and procedures;
- Managing a caseload of complex cases.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Social Work Qualification.
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for a DBS.
- At least 3 years of referencing.
- Valid driving licence and access to a car.
