Qualified Social Worker – Long Term Child Care / Case Management – Haverfordwest (County Hall)

Salary: £36,363 – £40,777 + £3,000 Market Supplement (reviewed annually) + £3,000 Golden Hello + £8,000 Relocation Package. Full-time / Part-time considered.

About the Role

You will hold a long‑term caseload, supporting children and young people across a range of statutory responsibilities, including:

  • Children Looked After (CLA)
  • Child Protection (CP)
  • Children in Need (CIN)
  • Court Proceedings
  • Leaving Care

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied and complex long-term caseload
  • Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and care planning
  • Prepare reports and represent the local authority in court when required
  • Work in partnership with multi‑agency professionals
  • Support young people through care planning and transition to independence

About the Teams

The service consists of three long‑term teams based at County Hall, providing a collaborative and supportive environment with strong management oversight and peer support.

About You

To be considered, you will need:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • Experience working within statutory children’s services
  • Confidence managing court work and long-term planning
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
