Locations:

  • North & Mid Devon – Taw View, Barnstaple / Phoenix House, Tiverton (x2)
  • Exeter & East Devon – County Hall, Exeter (x3)

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking Child & Family Assessments
  • Completing Section 47 enquiries where required
  • Direct work with children and families
  • Managing a varied and rewarding caseload
  • Working within a fast‑paced frontline environment
  • Supporting children to remain safe within their families wherever possible
  • Additional Specialist Support
  • Reg 24 Assessments
  • Parenting Assessments
  • Pre‑Birth Assessments
  • Viability Assessments

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experienced and resilient Children’s Social Workers
  • Strong assessment and safeguarding experience
  • Confident court work and frontline practice knowledge
  • Ability to work within a busy duty environment
  • Practitioners who can model good practice and support positive team culture

Hybrid Expectations:

Office attendance required:

  • 5 days per week during duty week
  • 3 days per week during non‑duty week
