An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Best Interests Assessor (BIA) to join Denbighshire’s dedicated Adults Safeguarding Team. Our team is committed to ensuring that Denbighshire meets its statutory safeguarding duties, protecting adults at risk while promoting positive risk‑taking and person‑centred outcomes. We work collaboratively to implement effective legislative processes that empower individuals and support them to live as independently and safely as possible.

The Role

  • Undertake Best Interests Assessments in line with DoLS legislation.
  • Complete high‑quality, timely assessments to support safeguarding outcomes.
  • Work closely with professionals, families, and individuals to ensure person‑centred decision‑making.
  • Carry out face‑to‑face visits across Denbighshire.

Requirements

  • Qualified Best Interests Assessor (BIA).
  • Experience working within Adults Safeguarding.
  • Ability to commit to full‑time hours (37 per week) for the contract duration.
  • Registered with Social Care Wales (or willing to register).
  • Able to work on‑site and in the community (Ruthin/Rhyl office bases available if required).
