Our client is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding Service, providing statutory services to children and families across Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO and Care Proceedings.

The successful candidate will carry out high-quality, child-centred assessments of need and risk, building trusting relationships with children and families through strengths-based and trauma-informed practice.

Working to Social Work England standards, they will hold case responsibility across a caseload of varying complexity, responding to changing need and escalating risk where required.

  • Develop, review and deliver evidence-based care plans that reflect the childc2 e2's voice
  • Complete statutory assessments and reviews in line with legislation
  • Prepare clear and timely reports including for court, and maintain accurate, high-quality records
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners across health, education, housing and police
  • Act as lead professional where appropriate; contribute to duty, supervision and service improvement

What We're Looking For

The right candidate will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with experience in a statutory children's safeguarding setting.

They will have a solid understanding of relevant legislation, statutory responsibilities and multi-agency working, alongside strong communication, IT and record-keeping skills.

Experience across Child in Need, Child Protection and court work is essential, as is the ability to manage complex and sensitive situations with confidence.

Requirements

  • Relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 years of referencing
  • Driving licence with access to a car
