A Senior Social Worker is required on a full time basis to join Cardiff Social Services Adults with Learning Disabilities team. You will be based on site for the first month for training purposes and 2-3 days per week thereafter. The office is based at Market Road, Canton, Cardiff.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a caseload within your chosen service area
- Completing strengths-based assessments, care planning and reviews
- Supporting individuals to make informed decisions and improve independence
- Working with high-risk and complex cases, including safeguarding
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners and contributing to decision‑making forums
- Supporting junior staff, students and contributing to team development
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Care Wales registration
- Experience within Adults with Learning Disabilities
- Confident managing complex cases and making informed decisions
- Strong assessment, safeguarding and care planning experience
