Pay: £92.56 per day

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Hoop Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Secondary School Teaching Assistants to support pupils in schools across Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young people's learning and development. Whether you have previous experience in education, youth work, coaching, childcare, or support roles, we would love to hear from you.

Your Role

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils who require additional assistance
  • Encourage pupil engagement, participation, and positive behaviour in the classroom
  • Assist students with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support pupil progress

About You

  • Experience working with young people in an educational, childcare, coaching, mentoring, or support setting
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Confidence supporting students with a range of learning needs and abilities
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to school life
  • Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
