Location: Secondary Schools – Cardiff.
Daily rate: From £100+ per day.
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Contract: Flexible, Term-Time Only.
Hoop Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Cardiff. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher — just confident, calm, and ready to lead a classroom.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
- Maintain a focused, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment
- Support pupils with tasks, answer questions, and encourage engagement
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupil safety
- Collect completed work and provide feedback to school staff
- Act as a positive role model for students
What You’ll Need
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or vulnerable adults
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- EWC registration (or willingness to register)
- A calm, organised approach with strong communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed
