This temporary role oversees a Children’s Home for up to 12 weeks, ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality care and a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach for vulnerable children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management to a multi-professional team.
- Ensure the setting meets the Regulated Services Regulations and all statutory standards.
- Develop and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate, mediate and communicate effectively with staff, families and external agencies.
- Cover on-call duty outside office hours and manage out-of-hours work as required.
- Maintain a valid driving licence and use vehicle for work duties.
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care Services (Children & Young People’s Registered Management) in Wales or NI.
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- At least 3 years of experience in residential child care at a management level.
- Social work qualification and registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
