The Kinship Team at Cardiff Council is looking to recruit a Principal Social Worker. This is a non-case holding role within a developing and growing service area. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of strategic planning and development whilst retaining a level of involvement within day-to-day practice matters.
We are looking for someone with relevant fostering experience, including quality assurance of assessments submitted from internal and external assessors. You will need a strong understanding of fostering regulations, the function of the fostering panel, and experience of supervising and supporting staff within the service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape practice and performance within the team, contributing to high standards of service delivery.
You will work closely with the Service Manager to support the development of a tailored service for kinship and mainstream carers and ensure a consistently high-quality fostering service.
