Hoop Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Housing Officers to support a number of Housing Association clients across South Wales on interim contract assignments. These opportunities typically run for 6 months and offer competitive rates, weekly pay, and the potential for permanent employment.

The Role

Working within a social housing environment, you will be responsible for delivering a high‑quality housing management service to tenants and communities. You will manage a designated patch, ensuring tenancy sustainment, community engagement, and compliance with housing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of tenancies and provide effective tenancy management services.
  • Conduct tenancy audits, estate inspections, and property visits.
  • Support tenants with tenancy sustainment and signpost to relevant support services where required.
  • Investigate and resolve anti‑social behaviour (ASB) cases and neighbour disputes.
  • Manage breaches of tenancy and support enforcement action where necessary.
  • Work closely with internal departments and external agencies to support vulnerable tenants.
  • Assist with rent‑related issues and contribute to income recovery initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and maintain housing management systems.
  • Promote community engagement and help maintain safe, sustainable neighbourhoods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, Tenancy Officer, or similar role within social housing, housing associations, or local authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of housing management practices and tenancy legislation.
  • Experience managing ASB cases, tenancy breaches, and resident engagement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
