We are recruiting on behalf of an established and values-led organisation for a highly organised Compliance Co-ordinator to support its employee onboarding, recruitment and workforce compliance processes.
Working closely with the People, Talent Acquisition and operational teams, you will help ensure that all pre-employment checks and employee records are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with safeguarding, regulatory and organisational requirements.
Full training will be provided.
Key responsibilities
- Managing pre-employment checks, including DBS, right-to-work, references and qualification verification
- Supporting employee onboarding and recruitment administration
- Monitoring compliance expiry dates and coordinating renewals
- Maintaining accurate, confidential and audit-ready employee records
- Updating HR systems, compliance trackers, reports and dashboards
- Ensuring documentation is stored securely and in accordance with GDPR
- Supporting audits, inspections and regulatory reviews
- Escalating compliance concerns and risks appropriately
- Working with operational leaders and the wider People team to maintain consistent compliance standards
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the candidate experience
- Supporting the onboarding of new team members
About you
You will be an excellent administrator with a methodical approach and exceptional attention to detail.
You should be comfortable managing competing priorities and working with confidential information.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in compliance, HR administration or recruitment administration
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience using HR, recruitment or compliance systems
- An understanding of safer recruitment and employment compliance requirements
- Confidence working with confidential employee data
- A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A relevant administration or HR qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
Some operational travel may be required, so flexibility to support the wider needs of the business is important.
