Fostering Social Worker – General Fostering & Placements – Bridgend, South Wales. Up to £38.43 per hour (Umbrella). Hybrid working. Full time preferred; compressed hours considered.

Hoop Social Work are looking for an experienced and dedicated Fostering Social Worker to join Bridgend County Borough Council’s Placements & General Fostering Team on a locum basis. The role involves supporting foster carers and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Working as a Supervising Social Worker within the General Fostering Service
  • Managing a caseload of foster carers
  • Completing Form F Assessments and Annual Reviews
  • Participating in duty cover across both Kinship and General Fostering services (approximately 2 office-based duty days per month)
  • Attending weekly Wednesday team briefs and meetings at the Civic Offices
  • Hybrid working with a balance of home and office working
Requirements
  • A Social Work qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England
  • A minimum of 6 months UK Social Work experience
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • 3 years’ references
