  • What you’ll be doing

You will act as the key link between employers, participants and internal delivery teams.

By understanding local recruitment needs, you will create opportunities and connect employers with motivated candidates.

  • Identifying sustainable job opportunities and work placements.
  • Proactively approaching employers and developing new business.
  • Building a strong network of employer contacts.
  • Understanding local recruitment needs and introducing suitable participants.
  • Matching participants with appropriate vacancies and placements.
  • Securing quality placements that develop skills and confidence.
  • Completing workplace health and safety appraisals and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring placements meet legislative and programme requirements.
  • Collecting the necessary evidence for confirmed job starts.
  • Supporting participants to overcome barriers and remain in employment.
  • Monitoring local and regional labour-market trends.
  • Representing the organisation at careers, marketing and employer events.

You will be proactive, commercially aware and comfortable starting conversations with new employers.

You will know how to build credibility, understand business needs and turn relationships into meaningful opportunities.

You will need

  • Experience working with unemployed adults and young people.
  • Experience sourcing sustainable jobs or work placements.
  • A proven ability to establish new employer or business relationships.
  • Strong customer-service and relationship-management experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills.
  • The confidence to represent the organisation at external events.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities across Blackwood, Cwmbran and Newport.
  • A willingness to complete a DBS check, funded by the employer.
  • A willingness to register with the Education Workforce Council.
