Overview

Hoop Education are seeking reliable and professional Exam Invigilators within the Vale of Glamorgan area to support schools and colleges during examination periods.

Exam Invigilators play a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted in line with awarding body regulations, maintaining a calm, fair, and secure environment for all candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Set up examination rooms in accordance with exam requirements (seating arrangements, notices, materials).
  • Ensure exam conditions are maintained throughout the examination.
  • Distribute and collect examination papers and materials.
  • Supervise candidates to prevent malpractice and ensure compliance with exam regulations.
  • Respond appropriately to candidate queries, referring issues to the Lead Invigilator when necessary.
  • Escort candidates to and from the examination room when required.
  • Deal with any incidents or irregularities calmly and in line with procedures.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and report any concerns to the examinations officer.
  • Assist with the secure collection and return of exam materials at the end of each session.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

  • Ability to manage groups of students in a quiet, controlled manner.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
  • Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Requirements
