The key responsibility of this role is the effective and timely management of the claims process between the client and the underwriter. Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with the client and underwriter throughout the claim process to facilitate efficiency.
- Following up with the underwriter within a set time frame to ensure the client has the required authority/payment to proceed with repairs.
- Ensuring all underwriters' settled claims received are completed in the system before the end of month close off.
- Ensuring all required supporting information is attached to claims before forwarding to the underwriter.
- Managing the claims process and ensuring all claims are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.
- Appointing assessors for a claim when required.
- Completing diary notes on a daily basis to ensure underwriters and clients are followed up in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Managing workload in the claims area to meet deadlines and prevent a backlog of claims for settlement.
- Maintaining flexibility as key accountabilities of the position change to meet the changing needs of the business and the client.
Requirements:
- Active claims management experience is essential.
