The Operative roles are all essential roles that sit at the heart of everything that we do. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management on roads in and around the community. Whether you are new to the industry or want to further develop your knowledge and skills, we will help you to gain your Lantra Qualifications.
We have highly competitive hourly rates, with market leading rates, especially for evening and weekend work. Our rates are straightforward, you are paid for every hour you work, enhanced rates come into effect with no minimum weekly hours required.

About us: Hooke Highways Ltd is a progressive independent Traffic Management business based in the South of England offering a wide range of traffic management schemes and expertise. Using the latest technology (EVO series Pike system) to help to keep traffic disruption to a minimum, we provide professional and safe Traffic Management systems. We are one of the fastest growing Traffic Management companies in the South Of England and have been voted as The Sunday Times top 100 best places to work.
Typical duties include:
- Set up and close down temporary lights including 2way, 3way, 4way and UTC Multiphase System
- Stop and Go services
- Traffic Marshall responsibilities
- Support/lead lane closures for dual carriageways
- Complete relevant weekly paperwork including timesheets, vehicle checks etc
- Shift work and working outside in all weathers
Essential:
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Live within one hour of the depot
- Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- Street works Ticket (preferred, not essential)
- 12D M1/2 - M6 qualification (preferred, not essential)
Salary is based upon experience and Lantra Tickets held plus generous overtime rates for evenings/weekends.
