This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves variety and wants to make a genuine impact within a respected, community-based business.
You’ll be the heartbeat of our brand — helping to shape how we present ourselves to clients, our community, and the wider industry. From digital campaigns and storytelling to community events and sponsorships, you’ll play a key role in sharing our values, services, and personality with the world.
This is a stand‑alone role, offering true autonomy and creative freedom. You’ll be trusted to plan, deliver, and evolve our marketing strategy while exploring the areas of marketing that most excite you. If you enjoy seeing ideas come to life and are passionate about communicating with warmth and authenticity, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Brand
- Develop and implement creative marketing and communication strategies that reflect our mission and values.
- Create seasonal campaigns and ensure our brand voice and identity are consistent across every channel — from print and digital to in‑practice displays.
Content & Digital
- Produce engaging, shareable content for our social media, website (CMS), newsletters, and blogs.
- Keep our online presence vibrant, informative, and aligned with our tone of voice.
- Manage our digital reputation, ensuring client feedback and reviews are responded to promptly and positively.
- Support internal communications by sharing practice news and achievements across the team.
Events & Community
- Organise and represent Hook Norton Vets at local shows, open days, careers fairs, and community events.
- Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organisations to strengthen our community presence.
- Bring warmth, creativity, and energy to every interaction, online and in person.
Advertising & Sponsorship
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage advertising and sponsorship opportunities, tracking their success and return on investment.
- Ensure all marketing spend delivers measurable impact and supports business objectives.
Reporting & Insights
- Monitor marketing performance using KPIs, SEO data, and analytics tools.
- Produce regular reports highlighting what’s working well and where we can improve.
- Use insights to refine our strategy, ensuring campaigns remain effective, relevant, and engaging.
About You
You’re a confident communicator with a creative spark who thrives on autonomy and variety. You’ll bring ideas to the table, turn plans into action, and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your work make a visible difference.
As a Marketing Executive, you’ll bring:
- 2+ years’ marketing experience, preferably gained in a stand‑alone role (veterinary, healthcare, multi‑site, or rural/agriculture experience a bonus!)
- Strong written, visual, and creative skills, whether that’s copywriting, photography, design, or video.
- Confidence across digital platforms: social media, email marketing, CMS, SEO, PPC.
- Familiarity with tools like WordPress, Mailchimp, Meta, Adobe, and CRMs.
- A proactive, organised approach and the ability to balance multiple projects with ease.
- A friendly and collaborative attitude where you are comfortable chatting to clients as you are writing a campaign plan.
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport (we are in a stunning rural setting).
- A genuine passion for animals, farming, equine care, and country life.
- Experience driving B2C engagement, lead generation, and brand growth through clever, creative marketing.
Our Culture & Values
At Hook Norton Veterinary Group, we’re proud to be an independent, community‑focused practice with deep roots in farming, equine, and companion animal care. Our culture is built on creativity, integrity, and collaboration, underpinned by a genuine commitment to animal welfare, environmental care, and supporting rural communities. You’ll join a supportive, purpose‑led team that values new ideas, celebrates initiative, and works together to make a difference for our clients and their animals every day.
