Hook Norton Veterinary Group is a proud, independent and well-established practice providing small animal, equine and farm veterinary care. Due to our continued growth, we have created a new Office Administrator role based at our hospital in Hook Norton.
About the Role
This is a varied and fast-paced role offering a real opportunity to develop your administrative skills. As part of our office team, you will help keep the practice running smoothly by supporting colleagues across different departments, maintaining accurate records, coordinating key processes and contributing to projects that improve the way we work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Using Microsoft Office, online platforms and internal systems confidently and accurately
- Preparing and drafting professional client correspondence with support from the wider team
- Maintaining protocols and records so they are organised, up to date and easy to find
- Providing HR support across the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, benefits administration and HR system updates
- Coordinating health and safety checks, actions and compliance records
- Scheduling meetings, training and diary commitments
- Supporting events and key business projects
- Using initiative and problem solving skills to spot what needs doing and get stuck in to get things done
We are just as interested in your attitude, approach and potential as we are in your experience. You might be a school leaver taking your first step into an office role, early in your career, or already working in administration and ready for more variety. You do not need to know everything on day one, if you are organised, reliable, keen to learn and enjoy being part of a team, we can help you build the rest. Common sense, pace and a genuine enthusiasm for improving how things work will help you thrive in our fast-moving practice.
