Higher Level Teaching Assistant(HLTA)

We are looking to appoint an experienced, confident, flexible and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)to join our dedicated school team.

The successful applicant will work across Years3-6, supporting high-quality teaching and learning through working withindividuals, small groups and whole classes.

The role will include undertakingplanned teaching activities and providing class cover in the absence oft eachers and covering PPA.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible andcommitted practitioner who has high expectations of all pupils and ispassionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate willhave

  • Recent and successfulexperience of teaching and supporting learning across Key Stage 2.
  • An HLTA qualificationor higher.
  • Proven experience ofworking successfully as an HLTA.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion forworking with children and for teaching and learning.
  • Confidence andcompetence in providing whole-class cover across KS2.
  • Excellent positivebehaviour management skills and high expectations of pupil behaviour.
  • The ability to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities, assess pupils' progress andadapt teaching appropriately.
  • A clear understandingof assessment for learning and the ability to provide effective feedbackthat responds to pupils' needs.
  • The ability to workindependently, use initiative and respond flexibly to th e demands of the role.
  • The ability to form andsustain positive relationships with children, colleagues, parents andother stakeholders.
  • High levels ofself-awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to work effectivelyas part of a team.
  • A sound understandingof confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
