We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher who will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class and play a full part in school life. You will deliver high-quality teaching that inspires children, supports excellent progress, and reflects our inclusive values. This position is to cover a period of maternity leave and may be for one term only.
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum
- Assess, record and report on pupil progress, using both formative and summative methods
- Deliver statutory and non-statutory assessments
- Set clear, ambitious targets based on pupils’ prior attainment
- Meet the needs of all learners through effective differentiation
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports all pupils
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s policy
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents and external agencies
- Lead and direct support staff effectively within the classroom
- Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities
- Uphold school and trust policies, including safeguarding and data protection
