We are looking to recruit a Customer Payments Clerk, to join our Finance team on a maternity cover. In this role, you will support the Customer Payments Manager in all aspects of premium collections, credit control, processing customer refunds and reporting.
This is a hybrid role - 1 day a week on site at our Southend office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Processing collection files
- Managing customer refunds
- Acting as the first point of contact for finance related queries
- Supporting credit control activities
- Assisting with month end and internal reporting
What We Need From You:
- Previous experience in Finance, or credit control is essential
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Disciplined, organised and methodical approach
- Ability to understand the importance of confidentiality in handling financial data
- Insurance or financial services sector experience - beneficial
- Systems knowledge - Sirius, ICE, Sage Pay, PTX, Premium Credit Limited, Magenta and Pay360 systems – beneficial
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9(A*-C) or equivalent to include Mathematics and English
