About us
Hoo Hing are the Oriental Food Specialists in the UK. From our 5 acre distribution centre in Essex, we pick and pack thousands of products and deliver them to Oriental wholesalers, supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, cafes and takeaways throughout the UK.
To complement our distribution business, we also have our own superstores in London, Essex and Buckinghamshire to cater for customers in London and the Home Counties. We employ an international work force of 200 staff.
The Role
We are currently recruiting full time Sales Executives to join our on the road sales team to develop and maintain our large customer base of Oriental wholesalers, supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants and takeaways.
A large part of the role is to engage with existing customers, understand their needs and introduce new products and services to them. In addition, the role involves chasing up new leads and winning new business.
The successful applicant will regularly visit existing customers to generate sales and maintain good customer relations. A majority of the customers are based in the South East of England so the successful applicant will need to relocate or reliably commute to London and its Home Counties.
Candidates must possess the following:
- Permission to work in the UK
- Fluent in speaking Cantonese and/or Mandarin
- A valid UK driving licence
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and Bank Holidays
Candidates will have a distinct advantage with the following attributes:
- Background in the wholesaling, catering or hospitality industry
- Solid sales experience in a customer facing role
- A strong interest in sales to the food industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations
