Company Description
Honour Group is an established fashion apparel and lifestyle supplier founded in 2000. We proudly supply the high street with innovative design, sustainable fabrics and ethically produced products for kids, ladies and mens, across private label and Licensed including true knitwear, wovens and outerwear, sleep and loungewear as well as lifestyle products such as pet products.
Our central functions are based in Qingdao China and Hong Kong, and we also have an office in Bangladesh. Our small, but growing UK based design and development team work with our colleagues overseas to develop exciting new collections for our customers.
Role Description
This is a part time, contract-based remote role for a Designer. The role will involve supporting and assisting the UK based product development team by gathering global market trend data to create new and exciting seasonal, cross category trends. The Designer will also be required to work collaboratively with the team to create fresh, innovative, commercial and relevant shape and graphic cad designs for internal developments along with bespoke designs for our customers. The role will also include compiling garment tech packs for the factories to follow to ensure high quality, accurate sampling.
Requirements and qualifications
• Strong technical drawing skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Powerpoint
• Familiarity with finalizing designs for production, including technical specifications
• Understanding of materials, textiles, and fashion design processes, including sustainable fibres and materials
• Ability to manage projects and deadlines effectively, and communicate clearly and efficiently with the team
• Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as fashion design.
• Experience of working in a design role in the fashion and apparel industry, preferably in value and mid market
• Self- motivated and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Licensed design experience is a bonus
• UK based, preferably South East but wider UK will be considered for the right candidate
• European travel required, so must be able to travel as and when needed
