The Marketing Manager - Events role will work across the face-to-face event series, developing and delivering the marketing strategy to drive event registrations of the highest quality (for paid and VIP attendees), whilst laying the groundwork for the expansion of their live events division.
Key Activities:- Lead marketing planning and delivery for the events across EMEA and MENA, leveraging event marketing communication to drive event attendance from the highest-quality audience of senior data center decision makers.
- Work with stakeholders to generate compelling events marketing concepts, messaging and outputs.
- Write compelling copy and be able to edit promotional material.
- Build & manage highly targeted audience marketing lists and tailor marketing communication to suit key personas.
- Work with Partners and speakers to create compelling, measurable influencer marketing campaigns to help influence overall client ROI.
- Coordinate the production of events marketing collateral & digital assets for events (Websites, Brochures, leaderboards, MPUs, social cards, etc).
- Leverage systems and drive their development to deliver against goals e.g., CRM, events booking system, marketing automation.
- Drive the adoption of new marketing methods and technologies, generating the best possible marketing return and customer experience.
- Work closely with the Events Director and Head of Marketing on event delivery and messaging.
- Collaborate with project teams across the wider business to design best-in-class delegate journeys, from making bookings to at-event experience.
- Proactive member of broader events project team, providing ideas and feedback beyond marketing elements of project.
- Consistent reporting and metrics tracking against set campaign KPIs, feeding back to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Produce post-event reports capturing key marketing statistics and introduce process improvements.
- Event Marketing Budget management.
- Brief and update wider project teams on marketing initiatives across the portfolio.
- Centralise marketing strategy by working with regional colleagues to drive global best practice.
- Collaborate and share best practice with wider marketing team across syndication, events, training and more.
- Minimum of 3+ years of event marketing experience in a B2B environment (preferably from a large media/confex company, i.e., Euromoney, Clarion, Broad Group, Informa etc.).
- Have a strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, whilst up to speed with the latest marketing trends and ideas.
- Have experience with CRM and content management systems, marketing automation tools, and social media channels.
- Be commercially-minded, with strong budget management skills.
- Have experience managing complex stakeholders, including senior leadership teams.
- Outgoing and collaborative team player.
- A confident copywriter with excellent communication skills.
- Willing to take ownership of campaigns & take the initiative when required.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once, pivot quickly, and manage time effectively.
- Results-driven and accountable for targets.
- Able to travel internationally.
This is a hybrid role, combining home working with working out of their London office on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
