We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role involves delivering personalised care to individuals with diverse needs, including elderly clients, those with chronic conditions, or individuals recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life. Prior experience is highly desirable. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Providing medication administration and ensuring adherence to prescribed routines
- Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Supporting patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other behavioural conditions through behaviour management techniques
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as needed
- Monitoring health status and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals
- Offering emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assisting with heavy lifting or physical support for clients with mobility challenges
- Administering first aid when necessary and following safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Experience in home care services is preferred
- Familiarity with medication administration and basic first aid skills
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles requiring client transportation
- Demonstrated ability in behaviour management and compassionate caregiving is essential
This role requires a caring attitude, organisational skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting. Candidates should be committed to providing respectful and personalised care while maintaining professional standards at all times.
