The Peninsula London is seeking to hire an experienced
Housekeeping Manager .
This role will report to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping and be responsible for planning, directing, controling the daily activities and operations of the Housekeeping Department, focusing on guest room and front of house, to maintain and improve the Peninsula Service Principles.

- Key accountabilities
- Oversee the daily operations of Guest Rooms, Public Areas and Heart of House areas to ensure all standards are achieved and maintained.
- Manage daily staffing levels, scheduling and deployment of resources to ensure service delivery and productivity targets are achieved.
- Support labour management initiatives through effective rota planning and monitoring of payroll expenditure and overtime.
- Exceed guest expectations pertaining to guest room presentation and Housekeeping service in keeping with the Peninsula Service Principles.
Coordinate guest feedback and ensure elevated service recovery where required.
- Seek continuous improvement across hygiene, cleanliness, service standards and quality whilst championing and anticipating guest needs.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, employee facilities and heart of house locations to ensure the physical product is representative of Peninsula standards, clean and well maintained, communicating any defects to the respective department.
- Support departmental budgets by controlling costs relating to labour, operating supplies, linen and equipment.
- Recruit, develop, motivate, supervise and coach department employees in maintaining a culture aligned with the Mission, Vision, Values and Core Principles of HSH.
- General requirements
- Require 5 years in a similar role within luxury hotels environment.
- Housekeeping operational leadership experience.
- Hands on knowledge of luxury housekeeping operations, including uniform, laundry and large scale public area operations.
- Strong financial acumen; labour management and cost control.
- People leader and trainer having prior experience managing diverse teams.
- Self-starter, with exceptional problem-solving and organisational skills.
