The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is Hong Kong’s statutory body for promoting Hong Kong’s trade with the world. Its London Office is inviting applications for the following position: Marketing Manager (on-site position at our London office).

The incumbent will report to the Director, UK, Nordics & Ireland to perform the following major responsibilities in the London Office.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and organise HKTDC’s marketing and outreach activities in the UK and the assigned territories to ensure that annual KPIs can be met.
  • Establish relationships with trade associations, chambers of commerce, and other influencers in the UK and the assigned territories to promote HKTDC’s services and events, including trade fairs and conferences.
  • Enhance HKTDC’s profile through effective messaging, consistent branding, and creative marketing campaigns.
  • Identify new business opportunities of interest to Hong Kong companies by conducting regular market research and market visits.
  • Prudently manage the marketing budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Explore new avenues for promoting HKTDC on social media and engaging in community activities in the UK and the assigned territories.
Job Requirements
  • A recognised university degree with at least 8 years solid working experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: trading; exhibition/event organisation; project management; public/corporate relations; or network/relationship building etc.
  • Strong interests and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various Hong Kong industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin will be a plus.
  • Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability.
  • Innovative, flexible and able to deliver under time and resource pressure.
  • A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Mature with superior skills in marketing and communication.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
Remuneration and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package will be offered to the right candidate.
